Description
Pennsylvania Historic Resource Survey form documenting the commercial building at 936 Fifth Avenue in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Dating from approximately 1920–1939, the small two-story, one-bay brick building features a flat roof with a gable-shaped parapet, stone coping, and a central ribbon window on the second story. Decorative details include paired pilaster strips and a false cornice framing six-pane casement windows with transoms. The first-floor storefront had been substantially modernized with Carrara glass tile, plate-glass display windows, a Permastone base, and a recessed entrance. The survey characterizes the building as a compatible infill structure within the Fifth Avenue commercial row.
