Description
Pennsylvania Historic Resource Survey form documenting the commercial building at 938 Fifth Avenue in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Dating from approximately 1900–1919, the two-story brick structure is described as Romanesque/Classical in style and features a flat roof, a central gable topped by a ball finial, second-story windows, and a semicircular arched central bay with keystone and an original signature stone whose name had been obliterated by the time of the survey. The first-floor storefront incorporates Carrara glass, with a transomed glass entrance and a semicircular arched corner entry with keystone and lunette. The survey identifies the building as one of the more stylistically distinguished structures along Fifth Avenue, though not considered outstanding.
